Accreditation

The Cat Practice is an Accredited AAHA Hospital.

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), is an international organization dedicated to ensuring high quality veterinary medicine. Accredited hospitals voluntarily undergo evaluation and only 17% of all animal hospitals in North America are accredited.

There are only 23 feline accredited practices throughout the entire U.S. and we are proud to be one of them.

As an accredited member of AAHA, The Cat Practice is dedicated to providing excellence in feline medical care. Our hospital is evaluated regularly by AAHA to ensure that we meet or exceed the association's standards of excellence. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine.

AAHA standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital. To become accredited, an animal hospital must meet or exceed AAHA's standards in twelve specific areas which include the following:

  • Surgery
  • Pharmacy
  • Laboratory
  • Exam Facilities
  • Patient Care
  • Cleanliness
  • Client Service
  • Emergency Services
  • Diagnostic Imaging
  • Anesthesiology

The Cat Practice has always achieved the highest level of accreditation, the four year certification.

What Accreditation Means for Pet Owners:

Choosing an AAHA accredited veterinary practice for you pet's medical/surgical care assures you that the practice you have selected has the facilities, equipment, staff and medical protocols that AAHA believes are important for the delivery of high quality care. Further, voluntary commitment to AAHA Standards and the Accreditation Program demonstrates that our practice has chosen to have itself measured by an outside organization against the most rigorous published standards in the field of veterinary medicine.
