Staff

Rachele is our veterinary technician supervisor. She gave up nearly 10 years in law enforcement training to return to her true passion in life, the care and well being of cats Throughout the years she has worked with numerous animals both as a part-time technician and as a pet sitter.  Her greatest teachers have been her own cats as they have given her real life experience. She currently lives in the far west suburbs with her large animal family including cats, birds, fish, and reptiles.

Debbie, a senior veterinary assistant, has over 30 years experience within the field of small animal medicine and surgery. Her clinical and nursing skills are much admired having been learned from the best teacher of all - experience from the many years she has worked with cats. Her many talents include a great skill in caring for orphaned kittens. She is an active advocate for the humane treatment of all animals. Debbie has a large cat family and has successfully transformed her husband into a cat lover too.

Dawn is a certified veterinary technician. She is a cat lover, but has several pets including a dog. She has worked for PAWS in their low cost clinic as a tech and at Brookfield Zoo. She is also environmentally conscious so don't litter around her!

Ruth is our receptionist. She came from a career in banking. She is a long time cat lover and shared her home with Cleopatra, Queen of Berwyn, but now she is happily managed by Sally, former TCP office cat. She has a large family and many friends and is in charge of kitty cookies at the clinic (which explains why Sally looks like she does).  Ruth is a welcoming presence, and does her best to put clients at ease when they come in.

Michelle, seen here on the right, is one of our veterinary assistants. She has a background of helping care for the pets in her home and as a volunteer at Animal Care League. She cares for the hospital cats as if they were her own, and makes sure they get their medication and clean living areas. She helps hold patients when they are getting procedures done in the back and makes them comfortable during any stay they might have, or while they board.

Katie is one of our veterinary assistants who is also a college attendee and a client. She has cats of her own and does TNR and rescue work for the cats in her neighborhood. Her gentle manner seems to keep the patients calm and comfortable while they board or stay for the day.

Kristin has recently joined us as a full time receptionist. She does not have any cats currently, but she does get her fix when she works here every day. Her outgoing and friendly demeanor cheers us up and we hope she has that effect on you, too.
